Change your Style Statement with Yarn and Wool

The world today is crazy about creating a fashion statement. Fashion enthusiasts from all over the world like to create that perfect look for wearers. A look that can create buzz! But it is only the professionals who are aware of the latest style statements. For example, many have been experimenting with yarn and wool. These have ruled the fashion world for ages and continue to do so. Yarn is long interlocked fibers (also known as threads). This fiber is the building block of the wool industry (wool is a type of yarn, made from animal fleece) which have been trusted by wearers and stylists alike.
Other fabrics and textiles are produced by weaving, knitting, and crocheting of yarns. The yarns that are used for the manufacturing of these fabrics are quite vivid and the end result is amazing especially with the advancement in technologies,. The sources of these yarns can be natural (like cotton, silk) or synthetic.

The importance of Yarn and wool in Garment Designing

A designer’s vision of his/her outfit can only be brought to life by selecting the right fabric. Same is the case with the use of wool. Winters feel incomplete without sweaters, blazers and well-knitted winter accessories and it is the yarn of wool that makes the difference in terms of color or texture.
Yarn and wool together could rule all seasons and their usage moves much beyond fabric production. Beautification of apparels is yet another purpose that they fulfill. Embroidery and crocheting were the methods that were deployed for this purpose but today the fashion industry is filled with ‘thread ‘ trends that can add the right amount of glam to any apparel.

Some of these trends from the past year are:

Tassels:

The past year was all about tassels and overruled the production of accessories, apparels and footwear. This was because these little thread bombs added the right amount of fun and color to the outfit and yet made them look sophisticated.

Fringe:

Outfits with fringes were a western thing from the past but when these threads were showcased in shrugs, dresses and sling bags then Indian wearers went fanatical for them.

Little Pompoms:

Who doesn ‘t love pompoms? Incorporating it into our daily wears is another style statement. These pompoms did not only look wonderful but also showcased our culture in the western attires.
