R.I.C.A has emerged with flying colors in the past decades with its honorable alumni holding the glorious flag of their much beloved institute. So, here is a rag to the riches story of one its alumni who give credit to the institution for what he is today.
♦ Diploma in Fashion Designing (RICA 1994-1996 Gold medalist).
♦ Professional course in CAD system in garment production (NIFT New Delhi 1996).
♦ Experience of more than 25 years in Garment Export House in various fields.
♦ He is presently running his own Hi-Fashion Garment Export House in New Delhi. (For more than 4 years.)
About the Alumni
Kushal was born and brought up in the city of offerings, Allahabad, which is known for its cultural and intellectuals.
He did his Fashion designing 1994/95. At that time only IAS, PCS, Doctor, Engineer and other Government jobs were considered as career options. It was a time that even speaking or thinking about Fashion Designing as a career would bring horrendous expressions to people’s faces. Despite of all the difficulties he was able to make his way through Ruchi’s Institute of Creative Arts.
His First Milestone
He joined Ruchi’s Institute of Creative Arts very late. He opted for part-time course in Fashion Designing as first quarter of Regular Diploma course was complete and his chance to join Regular Diploma Classes for that year was not possible.
During the commencement of his course, his raw talent was noticed by none other than Dr. Ruchi Mittal (Principal, R.I.C.A) and she allowed him to convert his course into a regular Diploma course. This incident boosted up Kushal’s confidence and gave him the right motivation he needed to become what he is today. He considers it to be a turning point in his life.
R.I.C.A ‘s role in his journey.
Kushal passed out as a Gold Medalist in Fashion Designing from Ruchi’s Institute of Creative Art’s in 1996. But he still cannot forget the support and words of wisdom given to him by Dr Ruchi Mittal, who he considers to be his ideal. He believes that learning the real meaning of 3D- Desire, Devotion and Discipline from her, made him a stronger person inside out. These 3Ds became his ultimate strength in his professional career and personal life.
Current Ventures:
After a long journey of 20 year’s filled with struggles and success in the fashion industry. Kushal decided in 2014 to set his roots deeper into the industry. He now owns a hi-fashion Export House named PARIDHI CREATION at New Delhi.
The fashion house exports hi-fashion evening dresses and beach wear to direct clients in the UK, Italy, France, Canada, Norway and Turkey. He is expanding his business and is waiting for many more ventures.
